City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel

Great location and staff but...

• What did you like most?
  Great location and staff were really lovely. It was so easy to get around as the tube station was just around the corner and the location was very walkable to the west end. The room itself was good and the beds were comfortable.
• Was there anything you didn't like?
  I stayed on the 4th floor but I didn't realise when I booked this hotel that the windows are just single glazed so on the Friday night I did not get to sleep until 4 o'clock in the morning due to the noises from outside of people shouting and laughing, it literally felt like my bed was outside beside the road, it was that loud. The other nights weren't as bad but I still struggled to sleep. I used ear plugs and noise cancelling headphones but as I'm a side sleeper this solution didn't improve my sleep. If they could solve the noise issues I would definitely stay here again, but until then I won't be rebooking as without proper sleep I wasn't in great form and was too tired to do some of the activities I'd planned. I also would like to add that when I said to the staff about the noise levels they did offer to move me to a different room which was very good of them, but since all the rooms had the same windows I didn't see the point.
