- Was there anything you didn't like?At check-in, the lady at the reception was very smiley, which I appreciated. However, she asked for a deposit, and when I inquired about it, her attitude was not appropriate for this level of hotel. From a guest’s point of view, it’s normal to ask for clarification about any extra charge or deposit. Instead of politely explaining, she told me, “You should know,” which I found rude. I asked her to show me where it was mentioned in the confirmation, but she was unable to point it out. Later, when I got to my room, I checked and indeed found it stated there. While the deposit request itself was legitimate, the way it was communicated was not acceptable. The staff should remain courteous and patient when addressing guest questions. On a positive note, the young man at the reception was very welcoming and professional, which left a good overall impression. * The room is extremely small, barely enough space for one person, and no room for a second guest to place their luggage.

- Was there anything you didn't like?The "deluxe double room with view" I booked had no window to the outside: it looked onto the stuffy, miserable hotel lobby. The air reeked of freshener. The AC was controlled by the front desk and did nothing to help. I am including a photo of my beautiful "view" from a room that hadn't been aired out in years. Additionally, the room was not accessible by elevator. The receptionist told me "it's just a few steps" then sent me up a winding flight of stairs. Basically, they lie and cheat as a way of doing business. The hotel is not even in Le Marais. Shame on booking.com for sending their customers to this hellhole
